About Camp Henry

Since 1937, Camp Henry has been providing life-changing experiences in a Christian environment. Kids ages 5-17 can come and enjoy day camp, mini camp, overnight camps, and teen adventure trips. We are also proud to serve guest groups in fall, spring, and winter, such as school groups, sports teams, scout groups, and more. Our dedicated, hard-working staff is full of joy and always ready to welcome you and your family. We believe that a camping experience at Camp Henry has the capacity to transform lives in many ways, and our expectation is that everyone who comes to Camp Henry will have the opportunity to have a life-changing experience in a loving, caring, authentic, Christian environment.

Day Camp at Camp Henry
Day Camp is the perfect way to get a taste of Camp Henry while still sleeping at home. Each day has a theme and new adventures await! Day Camp is for ages 5-8. Located in the Nicely Center, Day Camp will be offered for three weeks during the summer. Each session runs Monday to Friday from 9:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Drop off at Camp Henry is between 9:00 - 9:15 A.M and pick up at camp is from 4:15 - 4:30 P.M Transportation from Westminster Presbyterian Church in Grand Rapids - Drop off at Westminster is from 8:00 A.M. - 8:30 A.M. and pick up is from 5:00 P.M - 5:30 P.M.

Mini-Camp Ages 7-11
Mini Regular Camp is the perfect fit for younger campers. You will experience all the fun of camp condensed into a half-week experience. You will have a blast trying many new things in a safe, structured, and fun-loving environment.

Regular Camp Ages 8-17
Regular Camp has been the core summer camp program at Camp Henry since 1937! You will have the chance to take part with your cabin mates in all of our classic Camp Henry programs, including Arts & Crafts, Archery, Boating, and Outdoor Cooking. In addition, you will have the chance to participate in your favorite activities, selecting from over a dozen land and water programs. The mornings and afternoons will be full of fun-loving, high-quality programs and activities. After dinner, you will take part in camp games like Capture the Flag, and evening programs, like Flashlight Tag, PJ Sings, and Campfires.

Teen Adventures
Teen Adventure Trips provide teens with the chance to develop outdoor skills, forge new relationships with others, enjoy wild landscapes, and strengthen their self-reliance in outdoor settings. Whether they're an experienced outdoor leader or have never slept a night in a tent, all these trips are designed to accommodate different levels of experience. These trips are great opportunities for teens to travel this summer! Most trips start and end at Camp Henry. Gear that is specific to each trip will be provided.

Climbing Camp Ages 10-17
Seeking adventure? Ready to push your comfort zone? Come to experience Camp Henry from new heights in Climbing Camp! You may find yourself atop a tower, swinging high, or discovering new rock holds. Intermixed with the adventure, you will get to learn some of the basics of climbing safety and get to go behind the scenes of High Adventure here at Camp Henry.
