At Lake Michigan Academy, we believe that all children have the right to an education and are committed to helping children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD succeed. Our certified teachers provide personalized instruction in small classes which focus on developing literacy skills. We also understand that every student is unique and that different learning strategies are needed for each individual. Our programs and curriculum goals are tailored to provide students with the opportunity to fully develop their strengths and access accommodations that will help them overcome their challenge areas. We strive to teach our students how to become their own best advocates and how to be active participants in their own educational planning. We aim to provide our students with the tools and strategies needed to help them succeed and grow into confident and independent learners.
