About Greenwoods Camp and The Grove in Decatur, MI
At Greenwoods, we believe in creating an environment of inclusion and character development. Our campers can participate in a range of activities, from competitive sports to music and water sports. We focus on teaching campers the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. We offer campers the chance to pick their own schedule, with either a competitive or non-competitive option. Competitive campers can participate in team sports, leagues, and tournaments with our experienced coaches, while those looking for a less competitive experience can still partake in sports instruction to build their skills. Our elective program is designed to suit every camper, no matter their chosen level of competition. We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone to learn, grow, and have fun.

BeAKid
Lake of the Woods Camp FOR GIRLS
Girls tell us that Lake of the Woods is their home away from home. They feel this way because we are very intentional with our camper cabin placements. We create a cohesive cabin dynamic where girls form positive relationships with peers and counselors. We promote the development of social skills and help campers learn teamwork and compromise. We believe that today’s kids need camp more than ever because it provides the relief they need from pressures they encounter in their daily lives.

Greenwoods Camp FOR BOYS
We have an A and B day schedule, allowing our boys to develop skills in 6 to 10 different activities of their choice. Campers may select one activity to specialize in and take daily at camp. We encourage campers to try new things and use this experience as a way to explore their interests. Campers participate in five 55-minute activity periods daily. Campers may leave one activity period open as a “free choice” period. During free choice time, activities that are not taught as a class will be available. For example, campers may play in a ping-pong tournament, jump on the water trampoline in the lake, play frisbee golf or get involved in a game of Gaga.
