Boys and girls (ages 5-10) will utilize many areas of Hayo-Went-Ha’s 640 acres of virtually undisturbed forest and 1.5 miles of shoreline on beautiful Torch Lake. The Dow Building serves as Day Camp’s home base, with playing fields and trails accessible right outside. Campers will be busy playing group games, hiking, exploring nature, singing, and doing crafts. Fridays are special theme days that include a cookout lunch for parents.

Hayo-Went-Ha Camps are committed to wilderness adventure trips in all our summer programs. Camping teaches skills and values that campers can enjoy their entire lives. It fosters a tangible and tactile connection to nature that only comes from immersing oneself in it. Above all, camping is a tool to bring the cabin group together. Overcoming challenges as a group helps forge strong bonds of friendship. It allows each camper to realize how much stronger they are together than they are as individuals.

The most excellent thing I've ever done.  For any child, an amazing experience.  They have a TON to offer.  I cannot overstate how highly I recommend them.  Wonderful neighborhood.

North of Traverse City, Michigan, on magnificent Torch Lake, there is this amazing Camp. Girls' only camp. Traditional camping experience, including camping trips to Isle Royale and Georgian Bay, among many other destinations. Please look at the brochure, I beg you! and experience for yourself what I went through for five summers!

My grandkids adore going to the camp. One day, they hope to become counselors!  I can't imagine a better opportunity for growth!! 
If there was an adult camp, I would definitely attend!
