Dina I06/15/20225Greg taught me the guitar for a number of years. He greatly assisted me in identifying the musical genres—rock, jazz, and blues—that I enjoy playing. He excels at fusing improvisation with theory and chord development. Greg was able to form a band for me and several other students, and we were able to perform at a number of local events and record a song. Greg encouraged the growth of my songwriting, and I continue to apply the methods I picked up from him. He is a buddy and a valuable resource in addition to being a guitar teacher.
Mike P05/24/20225I've been studying the guitar for almost 50 years. I use the word learning since there is no end to this path. No matter how good you get, there is always room for improvement, and there are a few things you need to do this. Drive, practice, and acceptance that receiving help is the only way to get "better" are the first two qualities. I started utilizing effects with my electric guitars, and once you go down that rabbit hole, it's hard to get out. You need a patient person who will give you the chance to learn. Greg spent many years working as a sound engineer. It's amazing how much understanding he possesses.
