At Moppets, our curriculum is designed to work in a building block format, using prior knowledge to learn further. Our theme-based curriculum incorporates seven learning content areas that support and gently extend the children's learning environment, ensuring children grow in all areas of development. We believe that children learn best by doing, not by merely repeating what someone says. Through active thinking and experimenting through hands-on play, children will create social relationships, work on physical development, language and literacy, science and math, art and creative expression as well as social studies. ASL (American Sign Language) is also part of our curriculum in all age groups. At Moppets, we strive to create a learning environment that is clean, organized and easily navigated to promote creativity and independence. Our teachers observe the children and adjust the curriculum to suit the individual development of the class.
