For more than 100 years, the Guild of St. Agnes has been providing quality care and education to families in Central Massachusetts. Founded in 1913, the Guild is a private, non-profit, educational child care agency that serves approximately 1,600 children at 8 child care sites and 130 licensed family homes. All of its services are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and its Centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The NAEYC accreditation is the premier designation in the United States for identifying high quality child care services. 

The Guild of St. Agnes is committed to providing quality, educational child care services that meet the needs of each and every child. With a strong focus on developmentally appropriate practices and standards, the Guild helps children to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners. The Guild also strives to provide support and resources to families in the Central Massachusetts area. Quality infant-toddler care is exceptionally important since the first three years of life is a highly significant period in the development of a child’s brain.  During this time the framework of a child’s brain is formed through the interactions the child makes with the people and things in his or her environments.

 Infant & Toddler Care  

In all of our classrooms we use stimulating and engaging learning materials so that your child explores and has fun learning. Since young children learn best through play and by direct interactions with objects they can see and touch, classrooms are designed as learning centers with hands-on manipulative objects, and a variety of materials that allow children to make decisions on their own, thus learning through playful interactions. 

Preschool Care

The Guild of St. Agnes offers school age programs in the Fitchburg, Gardner, and Worcester communities. The Guild transports from several schools to the center. Open to children enrolled in kindergarten through grade 6, these programs are designed to meet the full range of each child’s developmental, social and emotional needs. Homework assistance, enrichment and recreational activities along with health and life skills training make up our daily activities.

The instructors are working hard.
They require more assistance, such as a specialist or a family liaison to talk to the parents about the development of the kids. Public schools are required to take kids out of class to receive the services they need.
The employees are diligent workers.
The director makes an effort to pay attention to and support the staff's needs.
