About Art School of Berkshires in Stockbridge, MA
Founded in 1991, IS183’s mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for anyone with a passion for the arts to explore their creative expression and learn new skills. The organization has evolved over the years to become an integral part of the local community, offering studio-based classes, artistic events, and out-of-school programs to serve over 2,500 students annually. Through their Learning Through Arts program, IS183 brings the joy of studio art to the desks of K-12th grade students, inviting them to create art just like they see in local museums and empowering them to make something with their own hands.

BeAKid
Summer Camp
Join us for a colorful world of artistic expression and self-exploration, where color can feel, emotions can create, and magical moments are all about the freedom to dream and make art. We will courageously venture into acrylics, pastels, watercolors, collages, shapes and more where we will dive into emotions and uninhibited self-expression. Each camper is required to have a current Health and Emergency Contact Form on file with IS183. Please fill out this form for each child that will be attending an IS183 program. Closer to the start of camp, you will receive an email with our Camp Handbook and additional COVID-19 Safety information.

After-School
IS183 Art School ensures that people throughout the county have access to hands-on experience in the visual arts. Our programs for young artists in the schools use two curricula - Learning Through Arts and ARTcentric: Berkshires - to bring the studio art experience directly to the desk of Berkshire County's students.

STEAM Team
IS183 Art School of the Berkshires, Flying Deer Nature Center, and Jabob's Pillow Dance invite you to participate in STEAM Team 2021 from home! This year's program is continuing remotely but we are excited to explore the natural world, art, and dance together in a new virtual way!
