From our tiniest dancers to adults, we are dedicated to helping each student reach their highest potential in the art of dance. We are proud of our competitive dancers who have gone on to be accomplished dancers, both collegiate and professionally. At the Salem Center, we are committed to providing an environment that is both stimulating and nurturing for children and their families. Our facility offers eight open-room classrooms for infants and pre-Kindergarteners. Located close to North Shore Medical Center, our center is open from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The spacious, inviting atmosphere of the school is sure to make both children and parents feel at home. The Salem Center also offers plenty of opportunities for children to explore and develop their gross motor skills. Our outdoor play area has two separate sections, designed to accommodate the needs of both younger and older children. With plenty of space to run around, there’s no limit to the amount of fun and learning that can be had in this bright and vibrant school. At the Salem Center, we understand that parents want their children to have the best possible environment in which to learn and grow. Our colorful school is designed to provide a perfect setting for children and families, with plenty of space for play and exploration. Camp Harbor Quest is the perfect place to create unforgettable summer memories in Salem's Pioneer Village. Located in the heart of the Forest River Park, campers can take advantage of the park's many amenities, including beaches, playgrounds, baseball fields, and slides. Every week, campers are engaged in various activities such as sports, arts and crafts, kayaking, and swimming, all rooted in the weekly theme. At the Y, we strive to provide the safest and most enjoyable experiences for all of our campers. We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of child abuse or mistreatment. Amy Muzarol is an Early Intervention Specialist and an experienced dance teacher of 24 years. She has worked in the Early Intervention field for 19 years and teaches with A Performing Arts Academy, located in Salem, Massachusetts. Amy has been the director of the APAA Dance Company for many years and has led the company to many memorable performances. In June 1997, the company performed at Walt Disney World for its 25th anniversary celebration and has since returned in 1999, 2004, 2007, 2011 and 2014. The company also performed in Salem’s Heritage Day’s festival and Swampscott’s 100th anniversary. In addition, the Dance Company had the unique opportunity to perform at the Bank North Garden during Boston Celtics Basketball games. The Dance Company is looking forward to its first performance at the Topsfield Fair on October 5, 2013.
