Camp Harbor Quest is the perfect place to create unforgettable summer memories in Salem's Pioneer Village. Located in the heart of the Forest River Park, campers can take advantage of the park's many amenities, including beaches, playgrounds, baseball fields, and slides. Every week, campers are engaged in various activities such as sports, arts and crafts, kayaking, and swimming, all rooted in the weekly theme. At the Y, we strive to provide the safest and most enjoyable experiences for all of our campers. We have a zero tolerance policy for any form of child abuse or mistreatment. Amy Muzarol is an Early Intervention Specialist and an experienced dance teacher of 24 years. She has worked in the Early Intervention field for 19 years and teaches with A Performing Arts Academy, located in Salem, Massachusetts. Amy has been the director of the APAA Dance Company for many years and has led the company to many memorable performances. In June 1997, the company performed at Walt Disney World for its 25th anniversary celebration and has since returned in 1999, 2004, 2007, 2011 and 2014. The company also performed in Salem’s Heritage Day’s festival and Swampscott’s 100th anniversary. In addition, the Dance Company had the unique opportunity to perform at the Bank North Garden during Boston Celtics Basketball games. The Dance Company is looking forward to its first performance at the Topsfield Fair on October 5, 2013.

Camp Fire North Shore's summer camp connects young people with nature. We offer a full day camp Monday-Friday for ten weeks each summer. At camp, youth from different backgrounds develop important skills such as self-reliance and problem solving while interacting with 70 acres of natural surroundings and enjoying fun activities such as swimming, hiking, theatre and more. Camp Waluta A traditional Summer Camp program that serves school-age youth, age five - entering 4th grade. This program is designed to provide opportunities for campers to explore safe and fun outdoor camp activities, all under the guidance of qualified specialists and counselors in a low 10:1 camper to staff ratio. Discovery Camp Camp Fire North Shore's summer program option for youth entering the fifth and sixth grade in the fall. Youth participate in age appropriate team building activities including outdoor skills, service projects, and weekly field trips. Camp Fire North Shore's Discovery Camp is a relaxed atmosphere in a natural environment that helps children develop skills to work within a group, make friends, build self-esteem, make good decisions and learn firsthand about the environment! Adventure Camp Camp Fire North Shore's summer program option for youth entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade; we provide opportunities for youth to engage in exciting adventures each week. Youth will spend two days a week off site participating in various field trip activities that will challenge them to explore the outdoors. Some of these activities include swimming, going to the beach, cultural and arts tours, geocaching, visiting amusement parks, watching sports & more! Adventure campers also have an opportunity to take part in daily swim activities at the pool.
