Programs at J Star Gymnastics in North Adams, MA
BeAKid
Preschool Programs
Parent & Tot (walking – 2 years old) Parent and child classes that encourage developing your child’s natural and physical ability in a fun and safe environment. Parents participation in class entices their children’s involvement in class. The more involved the parent the greater the experience for the child. Preschool ( 3 – 4 years old) The children learn coordination and fine and gross motor skills. We use specialized gymnastics equipment and props. Ball handling, body recognition and rhythm are other areas of our preschool program. The preschool programs are co-ed Kindergym (ages 5-6) Our Kinder program is designed as a bridge program between our Preschool program and our girls and boys program. Kinder students learn more gymnastic progressions than Preschool but still work on motor skill development.

Instructional Programs
Beginner/Intermediate (7 years and older) Students will go over all the beginning skills and will begin basic apparatus work. they will go through a series of progressions in a safe and fun environment. Basic skills include rolls, cartwheels, and handstands. Children will work at their own level.
BeAKid
Junior Olympic Compulsory Program
The Junior Olympic program was developed with the belief that all athletes, regardless of their potential, must have a solid foundation of basic skills in order to advance safely. The program allows the gymnast to advance at her own pace, competing at more than one level in a year, if she so chooses
