Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of Massachusetts, a place where history dances with innovation and where the changing seasons paint the landscape with a kaleidoscope of colors. Imagine a place where clam chowder has secret superhero powers and Red Sox caps are the crowns of kings and queens! But the real magic of Massachusetts isn't just in its legendarily long town names like "Worcestershire-on-the-Rhubarb" or in its legendary tea parties. No, siree! The true charm lies within the hearts of its young residents, who have discovered the joy of an ancient and powerful craft - Knitting! Meet the Knit-Wits, a group of splendidly spunky Massachusetts kids who are transforming the art of knitting into an adventurous game. Leading this brigade of woolly warriors is Captain Yarnbeard, a legendary figure with a beard so fuzzy, you'd swear it was spun from the finest merino wool. Captain Yarnbeard, with his knitting needles flashing like lightning, guides this group of intrepid youngsters through the wild world of warp and weft, teaching them to create everything from scarves for squirrels to beanies for bald eagles. Beware though, these aren't your granny's knitters! The Knit-Wits are known to knit at breakneck speed, making scarves longer than the Massachusetts Turnpike and crafting patches for every pothole in Boston. They'll turn a tornado of tangled yarn into a masterpiece quicker than you can say "purl". Massachusetts may be known for its baked beans and Paul Revere's ride, but these wool-wrangling kids are stitching their way into the heart of their state's story, one loop at a time. So, the next time you see a flying sock soaring over the skyline, remember, it's just a day in the life of a Massachusetts Knit-Wit!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Each afternoon at BASCP is broken up into three different grade groups. Each group has a variety of different choices to make when they arrive. These options include STEAM activities, games, crafts, time in the gym, and quiet time. We understand the need for physical activity, so when the weather permits, we go outside at least once an afternoon. BASCP offers an invaluable service to parents and children alike. Children in the program have the opportunity to spend time with their friends, continuing to learn while they play. It provides parents with dependability and care on early dismissal days, a sense of community for their children, and savings that come with not having to hire a nanny. With so many activities to choose from, BASCP is the perfect place for children to learn and grow.
