At Wu Xing Hung Gar, we believe that learning the Shaolin Old Style Five Animals is the best way to understand the Wu Xing principles. Through the forms, students learn to cultivate inner directed movements for health and vitality as well as outer directed movements for combat. We also teach students the use of traditional Chinese weapons in order to increase focus and dexterity. Our goal is to provide a supportive and enjoyable learning environment that emphasizes hard work and natural movement for energy and strength.
In our Kung Fu Kids classes we tr20160330_170139ain together to build listening, focus, self-ckfkonblockonfidence and self-control. Kids want and need to move, jump around and have fun instead of sitting and being bored by lecture. By using stimulating play, animal movements, tumbling, leaping and highly interactive games we learn to be physical yet in control. We gain the ability to push ourselves while building acce20160206_102618ptance and respect for others. Kung Fu Kids earn exciting, brightly colored animal shirts by completing adaptive mental, physical and social challenges.
