As parents and coaches, having some familiarity with an AED is a good idea. AEDs are designed to be user friendly and walk users through the steps of use. At our annual coach safety meeting, we review the steps on how to use the AED, so if you’re interested in learning more, you can find instructional videos online.
AEDs are becoming increasingly common in many public buildings, and being aware of the steps of use could be a lifesaving skill. It’s something that could come in handy if an emergency situation arises. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the coach safety committee for more information.

Baseball
Players up to league age 7 are assigned strictly based on date of birth and there are no exceptions. Player abilities vary greatly at all ages and our coaches will work with each individual player to assure that they are placed properly on the field to minimize the chance of injury, while optimizing their exposure to the game. More advanced players will be offered the opportunity to play in more prominent positions (pitcher, catcher, shortstop, first base) to advance their skills. The progress made over the course of each season can be remarkable for many players. Players that will be league age 8 through 12 should participate in the player evaluations that are held in the fall.
