About Beginning Years

At Beginning Years Child Development Center, we understand that choosing the right child care for your family can be a difficult decision. That is why our primary goal is to provide quality child care that allows your children to grow and develop to their fullest potential. Our classrooms offer developmentally appropriate, discovery-based learning environments that help young children explore the world around them. We offer both full day programs for Infants and Toddlers, as well as half and full day programs for Preschoolers. Infant Program (ages 3 months to 15 months)
Program Philosophy • Our infant program offers a high teacher to child ratio. • Warm and nurturing environment. • Teachers provide an individualized approach which encourages growth and fosters a love of learning. • Play is an essential part of encouraging growth in all areas of development. • Teachers work closely with families to understand an infants specific schedule and needs.

Toddler Program (ages 15 months to 2 years 9 months)
Program Philosophy • A toddler's natural curiosity to learn is enhanced through play in learning areas. • Ample time is provided for children to play together as they build language and social problem-solving skills. • Teachers assist toddlers in developing self-help, cognitive and fine and large motor skills. • Individuality is respected and the program curriculum reflects interest level and individual development level. • Teachers work closely with families as the child grows in the program.

Preschool Program (ages 2 years 9 months to 6 years)
Program Philosophy • This program offers children an opportunity to learn through play in a small group setting. • The curriculum allows a child to explore his or her own interests while mastering new skills in cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. • The teacher promotes social problem-solving skills with peers in order to build positive self-esteem and confidence.

Program Philosophy • There are opportunities for children to play and work together at chosen activities. • Teachers respond to children's interests by planning a curriculum that reflects child-generated ideas. • Mixed age groups allow for peer modeling, building confidence and self-esteem, and foster a close-knit school community. • Small group-structured activities are planned to facilitate the foundation for mathematical thinking and reading readiness.
