At Seaside Nursery School, we have been providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children since our establishment in 1972. BeAKid
TODDLER
The Toddler Classroom at Seaside Nursery School consists of nine children ages 12 months – 2.9 years and 2 teachers. For most toddlers, this is their first experience out of the home and into a group setting. Therefore, our priority is to nurture each child’s emotional and social well-being.

TRANSITIONAL PRESCHOOL
Our Transitional Preschool classroom is a perfect stepping stone into preschool. It was created for those children whose birthday falls after August 31st (which is the kindergarten cutoff date in MA) giving these children another year of preschool in a classroom not to be missed at Seaside. During this year of development most children are finding their way out of parallel play and into cooperative play with support and modeling from the teachers. Our play-based curriculum in our center-based classroom allows for self-directed play and learning while also offering many opportunities for peer interaction.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Our preschool classroom is for 3-year-old children who will turn four during the school year. Teachers guide our preschoolers with activities that spark curiosity and discovery in a play-based environment. Children begin to recognize letters and their sounds as we introduce the alphabet. Mathematical concepts are available to explore through patterning, sorting, building blocks, beads and magnatiles. Our housekeeping areas provides an opportunity for dramatic play where children can creatively practice language and their real-life observations. At the art tables children create and express their own ideas.
