Infant/Toddler Program

MCC is pleased to offer an Infant Program, initiated in response to the need of our working parents to have older and younger siblings together at one school. Our Infant/Toddler classrooms are a special place where children are nurtured, loved, and given many opportunities to learn.

Transitional Preschool Program

Transitional Preschool is the “stepping stone” to preschool. This is a time when children are moving from parallel play into cooperative play. In this group of late 2- and early 3-year olds, we focus on social skills, self-help skills, and potty training. The teachers help facilitate these developmental milestones while offering a variety of experiences to promote learning in the areas of science, math, reading, and writing. The daily schedule includes a balance of security and routine. This combination allows the children to comfortably follow their individual interests in a predictable and comfortable environment.

Preschool Program

Preschool is for 3-year old children who will turn 4 during the school year. Our Preschool Program is rooted in the theory that children learn best through play, with ample opportunity for self-directed choices. Deep learning occurs when young children follow their independent interests, put their hands on something, are immersed in a concept, and play out real-life experiences. Woven through each child’s day is the chance for large and small group experiences, child-and-teacher directed learning activities, and indoor or outdoor gross motor. We believe this unique blend of opportunities provides the optimal environment for the development and growth of our preschoolers.
