Community Teamwork has been a part of the Greater Lowell community for over 50 years. Founded in 1965 during President Lyndon B. Johnson’s War on Poverty and the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, our mission has remained the same throughout the decades: to mobilize resources for low-income people, providing opportunities for them to achieve stability, self-sufficiency and have an active voice and participation in the decisions that affect their lives.
In 2011, Community Teamwork moved our headquarters to the historic Bon Marche building located at 155 Merrimack Street in the heart of downtown Lowell. We currently have nine program and service sites in Lowell, Lawrence, Wakefield and serve residents across 63 cities and towns in Middlesex and Essex Counties. We strive to provide the best possible services to our clients in order to empower them to achieve self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life.
Community Teamwork’s School Age Programs provide a safe and enjoyable place for 5 to 13-year old children to make friends, play games, practice sports, receive educational guidance, and engage in a variety of creative projects.
