In the 1970s, Boston residents had a vision. They wanted to use school buildings after hours for the benefit of their community, and this idea eventually turned into the Boston Community Schools in 1972. This was the start of something special.
Fast-forward to 2001, when the Boston Community Schools were rebranded and renamed Boston Centers for Youth & Families. Now, we are proud to be the largest youth and human services agency for the City of Boston. We are dedicated to promoting the healthy development of children, youth, and families, and this commitment has never waivered.
