About Haverhill Girls Softball in Haverhill, MA
The Haverhill Girls Softball League is looking forward to a great season! The objective of the league is to provide a fun and instructional experience in the sport of softball to local girls between the ages of 5 and 15 years old. The league strives to help the girls reach the necessary skill level to play at higher levels of competition, while also providing them with opportunities to participate in a structured league. The Haverhill Girls Softball League is committed to making sure that the girls have an enjoyable experience while learning the values of good sportsmanship and teamwork. They aim to teach the girls about honesty, courtesy, courage, integrity and reverence, so that they can become strong and happy adults. The league is looking forward to a successful season of youth softball! All girls between the ages of 5 and 15 who wish to join will be given the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of softball and build their skills, so they can compete at higher levels of competition. The league also wants to make sure that the girls have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Programs at Haverhill Girls Softball in Haverhill, MA
BeAKid
Little Ladies U6 Division (5 & 6 year olds)
This group of girls will hit off of a Tee Each batter should have the opportunity to hit 3 or 4 ball before her last hit will be declared “live”. At that point, the batter will run to first base after her hit and the defensive team will field the ball and attempt to get her out. Girls should wear defensive fielding masks, this will speed up their development of fielding and catching the ball. Girls in this division would have the ability to move up to the U8 division. She would have to show an exceptional ability to physically and mentally play the game.

Little Ladies U8 Division (7 & 8 year olds)
This group of girls will be having their coach pitch to them The Tee, can and should be used for an at bat, should the batter be struggling Each batter should have the opportunity to hit 3 or 4 ball before her last hit will be declared “live”. At that point, the batter will run to first base after her hit and the defensive team will field the ball and attempt to get her out. Girls in this division will be required to wear defensive fielding masks. Girls in this division would have the ability to move down to the U6 division if it’s their first year playing of if they just are uncomfortable and can’t be playing safe with more experienced players.

U10 (9 & 10 year old )
Pitchers stand from 35' away Players will play with an 11" ball, game is played live. Players should try every position. Girls in this division will be required to wear defensive face masks.
