About RER Ponies

At RER Ponies, riders of all ages and levels are taught in a safe, supportive environment focused on having fun. Heather, the lead instructor, emphasizes a classical foundation for all riders with a heavy focus on dressage. She teaches her students the importance of balance, the use of natural aids, and building a sound relationship with the horse using the training scale. Heather creates opportunities for riders to further their knowledge of horsemanship and compete if they choose. All riders become part of an extended family as they work towards their individual goals. Heather believes that learning to ride should be enjoyable and her riders are always successful and accomplished. She takes the time to get to know each student to help them reach their full potential. With her expertise and guidance, riders gain confidence and the respect and responsibility of riding. At RER Ponies, riders have the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment where they can have fun and become part of a supportive family.

Summer Program and Own A Pony

The programs include riding and horsemanship instruction. In each program riders are grouped according to age and experience. We will be running one-week sessions with a limited number of students geared toward beginner riders, pony-pal preschoolers, JR Pony Clubbers and new riders. In addition we will be running our very popular Own a Pony Program.

Pony Pals

This is a great introduction to ponies and riding for children. Pony Pals is a great way to spend time with the special child in your life. A pony pal meets once a week and children have the option of riding one morning a week or one afternoon (Parent or Guardian must be present to help). 45 min-1 hour total barn time (includes tack up time with instructor or upper pony club member, riding and stable management)

Lessons and Training for all ages

Whether you want to ride once a week or be in full time training, we can help you to achieve your goals. We have a full group of active children and just as active adults at RER Ponies. We have a lovely string of experienced school ponies to help you learn in the saddle.
