KARATE

Shobukan Karate, as is most modern styles, is derived from a combination of systems of defense with roots in China, Okinawa and Japan. Our primary inspirations come from the Kyokushin Karate system founded by Sosai Mas Oyama. The unmatched power of Oyama's Hand techniques, Kicks and Blocks are the foundation of Shobukan's daily practice. The combination of forms and basics practice, along with self defense strategies inevitably influenced by our Jujutsu style, will provide students with confidence, self awareness, and a rigorous workout!
