About Movement Arts Gloucester MA in Gloucester, MA
MAGMA is also the host venue of the Live Arts Series, established in 2014. The series works in collaboration with Matthew Swift Gallery (formerly Trident Gallery) of Gloucester to produce performances of experimental dance, music, and performance art from local, national, and international artists. MAGMA’s Live Arts Series provides an opportunity to experience diverse performances and to explore different kinds of art. It is a place to discover new forms of expression and to encourage creative collaboration.

BeAKid
Pre-Ballet
Pre-Ballet is specially designed for ages 4-5 as a stepping stone to the formal dance technique classes that follow in the MAGMA program. The class introduces basic classical ballet techniques and class structure, together with fun movement games and improvisations. A great introduction to dance study for the young student.

Ballet I/Creative Movement
A beginner-level class exploring formal dance training in Ballet, paired with fun, creative movement activities. Ages 5-7
BeAKid
Ballet III/Contemporary
This class combines a ballet barre warm-up with a center that explores contemporary modern movement vocabulary and phrase work. Ages 10+
