At Franklin Children’s School, Inc., our mission is to offer early childhood education and childcare that benefits the children, their parents, and the community. We strive to create a warm, supportive learning environment where children can develop socially, intellectually, and emotionally. Our classrooms feature an array of centers that offer a range of learning experiences. Each center is designed to help children explore science, social studies, math, art, dramatic play, music, literature, and fine and gross motor activities. This allows each individual to approach learning in a unique way and explore topics that interest them. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing atmosphere for all our students. We value the importance of building strong relationships with parents and guardians to ensure the best possible experience for each child. Franklin Children's School's curriculum and assessment process is developmentally appropriate and is guided by the standards set forth by the Office of Early Education and Care of Massachusetts. The goal of our curriculum is to present meaningful learning experiences whereby children learn through play. Our focus is on the process of learning, and not the product. Our curriculum is also based on weekly themes that are influenced by the criteria set forth in the Massachusetts Frameworks and the ten standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Our curriculum goals, objectives, and assessment methods are based upon the four areas of early childhood development. These four areas of development include a child¡¯s social/emotional/self-help skills, physical development, cognitive development, and language development. Our main objective is to foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child in a nurturing, secure, and fun, learning environment.
