Matthew D03/26/20204.13Big Hell Pond, the official name of this tiny lake, is a true beauty, and Anne Mc Ginty takes excellent care of it. When I was a military dependent from 1968 to 1971, I have wonderful recollections of this deep, beautiful body of water. I'm very glad it's being preserved from development!
Ruel D05/14/20213.88Wonderful location in the off-season. Before they open for the season, it's a very quiet location to go for a walk and hear your own thoughts. When compared to what you would pay to visit similar state parks, I think the open-season entrance price is a bit on the expensive side. I hope they put all that money from the entrance fees back into keeping the park in good condition and making it a nice location for everyone.
Leil N08/18/20213.88I haven't encountered any of the issues other people have with the lifeguards. They are dealing with more people than I believe they are accustomed to because this is one of the few public swimming areas open in this area. Clear water, beautiful surroundings, and everyone I saw seemed to be coping well with social distance.
