At WCDA, we understand the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for our families. For 42 years, we have been building trust and relationships with the families of our students. This year, we are continuing that commitment and taking extra measures to ensure that our studios are a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all. By staying up to date with all safety practices and protocols set forth by the State, WCDA is taking every precaution to keep our families safe. PRESCHOOL BALLET

This course is a fun and positive introduction to Ballet and the world of dance. Preschoolers are taught with patience and understanding. WCDA aims to develop your child’s self-confidence and independence with care and enjoyment. Basic fundamental ballet steps, motor skills, and improvisation are set at a pre-school level combined with enchanting music to excite and inspire. Once a youngster steps into the world of dance, a new dimension is explored.

CHILDREN'S COMBO

A very popular one-hour class composed of 30 minutes of Ballet and 30 minutes of Tap. This program is designed to ensure the child’s understanding of the fundamentals, while exploring the joy of dance. The Ballet portion includes instruction of proper positions, steps, vocabulary and movement. They incorporate and encourage basic motor skills, an education in vocabulary and movement, and further their physical coordination practiced in dance. Through Tap, students are exposed to rhythm and musicality. Children learn to hear and count music while learning basic Tap steps. There spirited class incorporates creative props to enthuse the inner dance princess in everyone.

TEEN DANCERS

NEW CLASS added because it has been the most popular request from Teens! Leaps & Turns is a jazz-based technique class. This class focuses on helping each individual dancer achieve their fullest potential. This class starts off with a warm-up focused on strength, conditioning, and flexibility. Dancers then focus on learning turns, leaps, and jumps!
