About Sharper Edge Skating School

Sharper Edge Skating School offers customized instruction for all age levels and abilities in both figure skating and hockey. We strive to create a positive environment where skaters can learn and grow. We use a variety of teaching techniques to help our students reach their goals. Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced in both figure skating and hockey. They provide a safe, comfortable, and positive learning environment. At Sharper Edge Skating School, we believe in the importance of having fun while learning. Our instructors use fun activities and drills to help skaters learn the skills needed to excel in figure skating or hockey. We also believe that learning should be enjoyable and rewarding. We strive to ensure that our skaters have an enjoyable experience while learning and developing their skills. We want all of our students to be successful and encourage them to reach for their maximum potential.

Penguin Program
Our “Penguin” program is our Learn to Skate preschool program for children age 18 months to 5 years old (kindergartners). We have special games and activities that cater to the preschool age, and the BIGGEST TOY BOX AROUND!!! Lessons are customized for each age group and ability and their physical, mental and emotional capabilities. We teach our children through play, visual aids and enthusiasm. As always, each lesson ends with a sticker and a professionally supervised free skate. Come have fun while learning how to skate!

Learn to Skate Program
This is our general Learn to Skate Program designed for children and adults of all ages and run classes throughout the week. All ages, including adults, are accepted into the Learn to Skate program.

Hockey Program
This is our Learn to Skate Hockey Program. This program is offered to children who have demonstrated the skating skills required to advance into our Hockey Program. Each skater must have completed the Sharper Edge Learn to Skate Program or an equivalent learn to skate program. The Director and Hockey coach will determine your child’s readiness. ​
