About Beyond Crayons in Chicopee, MA
For the past 16 years, Beyond Crayons has been a leader in the art education field for homeschoolers, toddlers, preschoolers, and children in the Belchertown and Chicopee communities. We started out as a small business in 2003, teaching art to homeschoolers. But soon, neighborhood parents wanted private and semiprivate lessons for their children, and we happily grew to meet that need. In 2016, we made the move to our larger location in Chicopee, MA. Then, in 2018, we expanded our program to include toddlers and preschoolers, and started offering workshops, group events, and birthday parties. Today, Beyond Crayons continues to be a leader in the art education field in the Belchertown and Chicopee communities. We strive to provide a safe and fun learning environment for kids of all ages, and are committed to helping children develop their skills and express their creativity.

BeAKid
Beyond Crayons Semi Private Lessons
Our semi private lesson are for children ages 6 through 17 years. Classes are in groups of no larger than four students to provide individual attention to students.These lessons focus on art technique. We begin in pencil where students learn outline drawing and simple shading. Next we discover techniques in pastel, watercolor, watercolor pencil, colored pencil, acrylic, pen and ink, water-based oils and much more. Semi private lessons are ongoing and meet every week on the same day and time.

Preschool Art Lessons
Our preschool art program is a beginner art program designed to introduce your little artist to the wonderful world of creativity. Each class will present art activities according to the learning skills of the children enrolled. Art concepts will be discovered through hands-on art instruction, toys, activities and games Classes are 45 minutes in length, and meet weekly. There will be weekly creative art take home projects with the rest of the time spent on learning art fundamentals through play. All materials for classes are included. Our preschool 3 - 4 year old art class introduces our youngest artists to art media through hands on exploration. Your child gets to explore the seven elements of art through games, toys and art activities. They discover how things are made from shapes and how to use colors creatively.
