In 1981, Carlisle Kids' House was established with the mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. CKH strives to provide quality education and care to not only the families of Carlisle, but also the surrounding communities. Our goal is to shape the minds of our youngest members of the community, so that they grow up to be the best they can be. CKH is committed to providing the best care and education for children so that they can reach their full potential.
Our Toddler Program creates a safe space for successful play and discovery. We provide an environment that enhances learning, minimizes inappropriate behavior, and reinforces a toddler's need for self-competence. We help foster a strong emotional bond with teachers where children feel a sense of trust and safety where they are free to do their "work" - play, explore, and learn. Our curriculum focuses on age-appropriate toddler development that encourages the toddler to explore and discover the world around them.
The preschool uses the Harcourt curriculum, a well-tested method of literacy development that teaches spoken language, reading, and skills are taught in an environment that encourages repeated exposure through listening, letter manipulation, games, and creative activities. We are licensed by the Massachusetts Early Education and Care Department.
The Extended Day program provides a "home away from home" for school-aged children in grades K through 6.
Our morning program starts at 7:30 AM, when the staff greets arriving students with activities designed to help them transition smoothly into the school day and then wait with them in the driveway until the school bus arrives. In the afternoon, our staff meets every bus carrying students to CKH to make sure all students are safe and accounted for.
