Calliope Productions is a non-profit organization serving the Central Massachusetts region by providing affordable, high-quality theatrical performances. Our mission is to give adults and youth the chance to take part in the performing arts. We strive to make our productions accessible to all, so that anyone can experience the joy of theatre. 

Our organization is based in Massachusetts, but our reach extends beyond our home base. We offer performance opportunities and instruction to adults and young people in the central Massachusetts area, providing a platform for them to hone their skills and express their creativity. Through our efforts, we strive to cultivate a passion for the arts and bring communities together in shared experiences. 

At Calliope Productions, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the power and beauty of the performing arts. We are proud to be part of the vibrant cultural life of our region, and we are committed to making theatre a part of the lives of all those who live in Central Massachusetts.

During the course of this workshop, students will learn and develop several performance skills including speech, voice projection, singing, stage movement, choreography, and characterization, and will learn about technical and practical aspects of presenting plays as they work towards staging this musical production.

Calliope Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshops

The Summer Pre-Teen Youth Theatre Workshop Program is an intensive performance-centered program that exposes students to the fundamentals of stagecraft and develops students' skills in singing, voice projection and diction, characterization, stage movement, and choreography, as well as providing them with confidence-building techniques and team-building activities. The production focus of this year's workshop will be a presentation of the musical Seussical, Jr.
