About HIP KIDS

Introducing HipKids™, a unique after school program located in Boston, MA. Our classes are designed for children ages 6-10 and offer a cool, creative environment for students to explore music, movement, and art. Our talented teachers provide students with the opportunity to experience soloing and improvising first-hand. HipKids™ also provides students with a global perspective on percussion and music. Our teachers share videos demonstrating percussionists from all over the world, giving students a taste of different cultures. From Puerto Rico to Brazil, Mexico to Argentina, India to Iran, Africa to Japan, each week, children are taught accessible rhythms they can soon master. We believe that HipKids™ is an excellent opportunity for children to express themselves and learn about the world through music. Our program provides a safe and nurturing space for children to explore their creativity and learn about different cultures. Music Class

Kids can’t help but drum & catch the beat in GroovyBeats; a program for kids to learn percussion fundamentals and native rhythms in an engaging, fun way. In class, each student is provided with an authentic drum to explore and play, as the teacher introduces basic technique and musical concepts. Each week kids solo, improvise, and jam!

Art Class

Hip Kids™ teams up with Kidcasso™ to help kids Love Art & Create Art! We offer fine and process-based art education to children in a loving, creative, and safe environment. In our classes, children inspire, design, and create original works of art to propel ideas and positively enhance the community. We believe that all children are artists with a unique story to tell, and our program allows students to create one-of-a-kind works of art, while building self-confidence, promoting teamwork, and enhancing communication. High-quality supplies are provided for exploratory learning so student artists can experience working with various mediums like watercolors, oil paints, and clay, to create work in both 2-D & 3-D, making every lesson FUN!

Movement Class

In KidzHop, students learn about the history of different styles of the genre including: Breakdancing, Popping, Locking, and Krumping. It’s the perfect intro to HipHop!
