In 1986, our founders identified a major obstacle for working parents – finding child care – and sought to create a solution. Their solution was to provide on-site child care centers, allowing employees to better balance their work and home lives. Today, Bright Horizons provides a range of services and benefits, including not only child care but also elder care and education and career help. These tools help give employees the resources they need to be successful, and are used by more than 1,000 of the world’s top employers. The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children grows from this mission, supporting employees in making a difference in their communities.
