About Blackstone Community Center
The Blackstone Community Center is proud to open its doors to families living in Boston. Our facility and programs are available for anyone in the area to use, and community groups, agencies, and organizations can take advantage of the Center for their activities. We offer a wide range of programs for all ages, including GED classes, Women’s Self-Defense classes, a Toddler Play Group, a Karate class, an After-School Program, a Swim Team, and a Basketball League. Our City Stage Theater Program, Youth Connection Program, and more provide even more opportunities for families to get involved in the community.

Programs

Blackstone Sharks Swim Team
This program provides competitive and non-competitive swimming. Participants ages range from 7 to 18 are taught the fundamentals of various swimming techniques. Participants compete with other BCYF Community Centers swim teams. Swim team practices takes place three times a week on Tuesday 6pm-6:45pm, Wednesday 5pm-5:45pm, and Thursday 6pm-6:45pm with meets taking place at various BCYF site on Fridays at 5pm. Program operates from September to March. Season swim meets started November 2015 and run until March 2016. Schedule subject to change without notice.
Youth Connection Drop-In Program
Boys & Girls 13 & Up
This program is designed to support families by providing a safe and affordable drop-in after school program for youth. The program is also operational during public school vacation weeks. Activities include: Gym & Swim, Arts & Crafts, Workshops & Discussion Groups, Homework Support, Field Trips and more.
Blackstone Connects Afterschool Program
A drop-in afterschool program for youth 8-12 years old.
