In a place where lobsters and baseball are revered, where autumn leaves paint the landscape in magnificent hues, and where a certain tea party played a critical role in shaping history - there you'll find the magical state of Massachusetts. Nestled in the heart of New England, this state is not only home to some of the finest clam chowder and the world-renowned Boston Marathon, it's also a bustling hub of STEM/STEAM activity. Meet our friend, Gizmo the Geeky Grasshopper. Gizmo is no ordinary grasshopper, oh no! He sports a pair of funky glasses, carries a tiny beaker, and is often seen zooming across the state on his mini rocket-powered skateboard, visiting the numerous libraries, museums, and schools. Gizmo is all about STEM/STEAM. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics are his partners in crime, and together they make learning a grand adventure for all the kids in Massachusetts. Gizmo and the kids are always up to something fun and educational. Whether they're coding a new video game, building miniature robots, or painting mathematical masterpieces, they are continually exploring ways to merge creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Much like the state they live in, these kids are a blend of history and modernity, tradition and innovation. Together, they laugh, learn, and make the occasional explosion (all in the name of science, of course). And at the end of the day, they've made Massachusetts not just the birthplace of American liberty, but also a rising star in the universe of STEM/STEAM. So, if you ever find yourself in the midst of this buzzing hive of creativity, don't be surprised if you encounter a bunch of inspired kids, led by a geeky grasshopper, excitedly discussing their next big project!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.

As parents, we understand that outdoor time for our little ones is invaluable. But how do we ensure our kids get the most out of those experiences? It can be a challenge to figure out how to make the time together count. Thankfully, there are a variety of activities that can help us foster meaningful outdoor experiences with our children. From nature walks to mud kitchen play, there are plenty of ways to create opportunities for meaningful outdoor play. We can also look to experts and other parents for inspiration and ideas to make the most of our outdoor time. With a little effort and creativity, we can give our children the enriching outdoor experiences they need for healthy development.
In the 1990s, Peter Markovitz and David Ullendorff, education industry pioneers, realized that for students to be successful both in school and in life, they needed a strong grasp of mathematics. To bridge the disconnect between students’ learning skills and the math curriculum taught in school, the two co-founded Mathnasium, a math-only learning center dedicated to delivering top-notch instruction. Their aim was to teach children how to think with the skills and confidence to reach their academic potential. After an extensive search, they found the ideal person to help them realize their vision: Larry Martinek, a respected teacher, trainer, and curriculum consultant. Together with Mathnasium’s team of experts, Larry spent years developing the Mathnasium MethodTM, a comprehensive teaching system based on the most effective methods and materials. The Mathnasium MethodTM has since become the industry-leading program, empowering students to gain a deep understanding of math and become more successful in their academic pursuits.
