Nancy D11/02/20224a charming tiny park The turtle pond was home to numerous turtles as well as numerous (quite large!) frogs and tadpoles. In the meadow, a deer was also spotted grazing. There is parking just by the trails. The information desk was closed. Being only a short drive away from the park is a tremendous assistance.
Emma W11/02/20223.94On a Tuesday afternoon when we went, it seemed as though we had entered a deserted wilderness by ourselves. We strolled around Turtle Pond and observed at least ten different bird species in addition to a pair of deer. It was lovely and serene. Hearing the students on the nearby athletic field seemed a little out of place, as if a hole in spacetime had somehow allowed a posh, contemporary athletic facility to be put inside a prehistoric woodland. Although the Habitat is actually an impostor—a little area of forest surrounded by suburbs—during the workweek it nevertheless has a wild and pristine feel.
Pia W11/02/20224.74A very beautiful location where kids can go with gorgeous animals! Short and simple paths, a nearby parking lot, and restrooms.
Steven I11/02/20224.31Wonderful location for hiking and natural walks. I completed it all in about an hour and a half. However, there are several insects seeking to enter my mouth and nose; use bug spray.
