Through field studies and classroom explorations, Mass Audubon school programs provide hands-on, inquiry based experiences with science content and practices. Our educators enhance students’ scientific understanding of species and habitats; ecological concepts such as food webs, cycles, systems, adaptation, and evolution; climate change; and interrelationships between people and nature. 



Progams for Schools at Oak Knoll

Our homeschool programs are designed to encourage children to interact with the natural environment through exploration and inquiry-based learning and with each other through group building and games. Oak Knoll has many offerings for homeschooling including: Botany, Physics & Chemistry in Nature, Kitchen Chemistry, Geology, Astronomy, Art, Organic Gardening, Hibernation & Migration, Bio-mimicry, Life Cycles, Watershed Science, and Solar Energy.



Homeschool Programs

Oak Knoll offers programs for all levels of Girl and Boy Scouts. Our qualified educators are available to lead groups, exploring diverse habitats of the wildlife sanctuary and covering many natural history topics. We can design a program to fulfill the requirements of a specific badge. Programs are offered after school or on weekends. Ask us about opportunities for Eagle or Gold Award projects!
