A place where lobster rolls were as common as grassy knolls and the Red Sox were the heroes of every bedtime story. The 'Film Fanatics' weren't your regular children either. They were known for using the magical 'Camera of Clarity', a special gift from their imaginary friend and mentor, Captain Kodak. Not only does SMARTS offer a wide selection of creative writing, dance, drama, film/video, music, and visual arts programs, but the organization also provides professional development for teachers in the two member districts (Attleboro and Mansfield) supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. This enables teachers to learn new strategies to bring the arts into their classrooms, allowing them to foster creativity in their students.
