About The Jack Rua Camp For Children With Diabetes in Assonet, MA

At the Jack Rua Camp for Children with Diabetes, young people with type 1 diabetes, ages 5-14, their siblings, and their friends are given the chance to learn about and face the challenges of diabetes in a fun and supportive environment. With small enrollment and a staff-to-camper ratio that’s designed to ensure safety, campers are able to explore and try a wide range of activities with plenty of supervision from experienced role models. At the Jack Rua Camp, kids with diabetes, their siblings, and their friends can join in the fun and build lasting friendships. The camp encourages campers to become more self-sufficient and independent, while learning about diabetes and exploring the world around them. Every day brings something new and exciting, and campers can gain invaluable knowledge about diabetes and its management.
