At the Amherst Red Barn Music School, kids can learn to play music and have a blast doing it! Located at 409 Main St. (right by the Amtrack station), the school is a collaboration of 18 music teachers. Whether your child is just starting out, or looking to improve their skills, the Amherst Red Barn Music School has them covered! The Amherst Red Barn Music School is a fun and engaging place for young musicians to learn and hone their skills. BeAKid
Kevin Collins – GUITAR
Kevin is a graduate of the Hartt School in Classical Guitar. In New York, he appeared at Windows on the World in the World Trade Center and at The Rainbow Room and taught guitar at Columbia Univeristy. Formerly, Kevin was Guitar Faculty at the University of Massachusetts Music Department Performing Arts Division. Kevin teaches all kinds of music and uses songs to teach music theory.

Ben Peterson – CELLO
A graduate of Grinnell College, Mr. Peterson studied with Yehuda Hanani at the Peabody Institute. He is finishing on his doctoral dissertation at Boston University. Ben is an active soloist and chamber music performer, as well as conductor of the Amherst Regional High School orchestra, and a really fantastic cello teacher.
BeAKid
Dana Kelly – CLARINET, FLUTE & SAX
Dana is a K-12 Certified music educator, with a double degree in Music Ed and Music Performance. She is currently a MM candidate in Clarinet Performance at UMass. Her background as a camp counselor and girl’s leadership teacher are reflected in her kind and careful way with her students.
