It’s a great place for families to come together and connect with nature and God. Camp Wartburg is a welcoming retreat center and summer camp facility, offering activities for body, mind, and spirit. It is a safe and low-key space for families of all backgrounds to come together and have unique adventures. Camp Wartburg is a ministry of Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois. It provides a great opportunity for families to explore and experience God’s creation. This retreat center and summer camp facility offers a range of activities that are designed to nurture the body, mind, and spirit. It is a safe and inviting place for families to come together, reflect on their faith, and make memories in a beautiful natural setting.

Day Camp
Camp Wartburg’s Day Camp is a great option for all families with children aged kindergarten to eighth grade who want their child(ren) to have a summer centered around the Bible, nature, fun and adventure. The day starts bright and early with drop-off being from 7:00 – 9:00 am and then ends right after families get off work with pick-up from 4 – 5:30 pm. Throughout the day, children will be doing various activities and will be served breakfast, lunch and snack.

Summer Overnight Camp
Camp Wartburg offers an array of overnight summer programs for all ages. During the week, children will be in small groups led by college-age men and women doing a combination of nature-centered, signature camp activities such as pond canoeing, archery, pond studies, fire-building, swimming, going on nature hikes, etc. and special program activities. Every overnight program is unique and designed to make sure that every week your child is enrolled at Camp Wartburg you go on a different adventure!

AfterCamp
AfterCamp offers a unique experience to any child K-8. Once stepping off the bus, children will be given a snack and led through a devotion. Afterwards, they have the opportunity to do homework, play fun games and do various other camp activities—including archery, canoeing, crafts, creek walks, disc golf, gaga ball, nature hikes, rock wall climbing, swimming (seasonal), teambuilding activities and zip lining.
