Our goal is to provide as many recreational opportunities to our constituency as possible, so that we can meet the needs of all residents of the district, no matter their age, interests or abilities. 

We continuously strive to expand our selection of classes and events to meet the changing needs of our community. Our team looks for new and creative ways to engage residents of all ages, from youth to seniors, and to offer a variety of events and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Nurturing a 3-year-old’s social and emotional growth, participants learn to follow directions, make new friends and share with others in a group as they participate in daily activities.

The Plainfield Park District offers endless opportunities for youth to enjoy indoor and outdoor sports. A variety of instructional programs and classes, as well as leagues, are offered for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels throughout the year. Programs, classes and leagues vary by season and are available for online registration.



Youth Athletics

The Plainfield Park District offers dance programming exclusively at its Streams Recreation Center, 24319 Cedar Creek Lane in Plainfield. Plainfield Park District Dance programs enrich students’ lives in many ways with classes aimed at instilling confidence, improved flexibility and balance, development of rhythm, and enhanced memorization.

Plainfield Park District Summer Day Camp

This is more for the preschool in the park district! This year was their first with my son. He experiences both good and terrible days, as do other 3.5-year-olds, but I cannot express how much I appreciate his instructors for their understanding and support of him. My family has had nothing but assistance from the whole personnel at Great Adventures. What more could a mother want than for her child to study while having fun? I look forward to my additional children attending one day.

I haven't encountered any issues with the park district. Because my husband and I both work, I even appreciated that they provided the family play class at night so we could bring our baby.
