PrairieArt offers an innovative way to approach art education. The curriculum combines art with academic concepts, mirroring the world-renowned drawing program developed by Mona Brookes. Every week, a new theme is presented to students, giving them an opportunity to learn about the subject they are drawing while honing their techniques.
A diversity of media and techniques are available for students to explore. With individualized attention, students are able to progress at their own pace, discovering their creative potential through realistic drawing. Structural guidance is provided to ensure success while allowing enough freedom for students to express themselves.
A class for preschool to kindergarten-age students which promotes observation skills and cooperation with others. Students work on their ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them to draw the alphabet, an object or character that starts with the letter's sound. Promotes reading readiness by recognition of the alphabet and its phonetic sound. Helps with handwriting and fine motor skills in a fun engaging way!
