Mark Logsdon, P.E. Teacher since 1986, understands the importance of physical exercise and the need for active games and entertainment. That's why he founded Mark at the Park, Inc. in 2004. Mark at the Park provides adults and children with a variety of activities to keep them fit and healthy. Whether it's Summer Camp, Birthday Party, Corporate Picnic, or After School Program, Mark at the Park has something for everyone.

Mark at the Park understands that children are spending more time indoors and are becoming less active. Their mission is to get children moving and show them that physical activity can be fun. Their programs are designed to keep children entertained and engaged, while also promoting physical fitness. By offering activities that are enjoyable and challenging, Mark at the Park is able to help children reach their goals and maintain their health.

The Mark At The Park After-school Fun Fitness is a program of fun and exciting games that promote good health through physical activity. The program provides opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and social interaction. Mark At The Park emphasizes healthy habits that will benefit your child’s development and last a lifetime.

After-School Fun Fitness is designed for students in grades K-5. The program is designed to keep the students involved in physical activity through a variety of games. Mark At The Park activities last for one hour beginning right after school ends at the student’s elementary school field or local park adjacent to the school. Parents are responsible for pick-up at 3:00 p.m. in a designated area determined by the supervisor of MATP, Inc. at the individual school.

After School Fitness

The camp leases Indian Trace Elementary School’s air-conditioned cafeteria and uses the outdoor PE fields of the school, 4 basketball courts, baseball field, and the covered playground. In the cafeteria the tables are removed except for a few for eating lunch, and we put up a dividing wall and separate the large room into 2 sides.

On one side we play hockey, dodge ball, gaga ball, pilo polo, and numerous other large indoor group games. On the other side we set up an arcade, which contains air hockey tables, ping-pong tables, foosball tables, Wii and X-Box games, electronic scoring basketball hoops, music, board games, and an art and craft table.

Camps

 Mark at the Park, Inc. has been facilitating birthday parties since 2004. Our birthday parties are an outdoor event with an emphasis on safety, fun, and exciting games. Provided for kids ages 5 and up, we facilitate age-appropriate games, at the choice of the birthday boy or girl and his/her parents, that focus on the fun aspect of the game rather than competition.
