About Treasure Coast ISR

At Treasure Coast ISR, we take pride in providing lifesaving skills to infants and children. Our Certified Instructor offers the Infant Swimming Resource Self Rescue® Program in Stuart, FL. This is the safest provider of survival swimming lessons for children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years. Dr. Harvey Barnett developed ISR over 45 years ago and since then, over 300,000 infants and young children have completed the program with more than 8 million lessons. The goal of ISR is survival, as drowning is the number one cause of death for young children. Treasure Coast ISR is dedicated to giving children the confidence and competence to be safe in the water. We are passionate about helping children learn the lifesaving skills that can potentially save their lives.

AGES 6 MONTHS - 1 YEAR
Children in this age range will learn to hold their breath underwater, roll onto their backs, and float unassisted. They will also be taught to rest and breathe while floating until help arrives. Students learn to perform these ISR Self-Rescue skills first in a swim diaper, then while fully clothed.

AGES 1 YEAR - 6 YEARS +
Children in this age range will learn ISR's swim-float-swim sequence. This sequence involves learning to hold their breath underwater and swim with their head down, roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe. Students then roll back over and continue the swim-float-swim sequence until they reach an edge or are able to crawl out or be rescued by an adult. Students will first learn this sequence in a swim diaper, and then fully clothed.
