About Trautwein's ATA in Sarasota, FL
At our martial arts school, we are proud to offer more than just self-defense and physical training. We are committed to cultivating a safe and supportive community and giving back to our local area. Our 7,100 square foot facility is located on 5 acres of land and includes plenty of parking. We also have an outdoor training area and obstacle course. Our year-round programs include an after-school program and summer/day camp. We provide a unique opportunity for our students to learn and grow in a fun and healthy environment.

Tigers
Young children who learn martial arts find out quickly that each movement must be intentional. They learn to control their movements to the best of their ability. They also practice hand-eye coordination and learn about their bodies. That means they’ll be less likely to be unintentionally destructive.

There really is a safe, natural and extremely effective way to take charge and positively impact every aspect of your child’s life. It doesn’t take medicine, therapy, harsh actions, or cajoling your kids to change their behavior. Instead, it is teaching your kids self-discipline, hard work, confidence, and respect. This done in a way that empowers them while also teaching them humility, and promoting health and fitness… all at the same time.

Afterschool
One of the biggest challenges of parenting is finding wholesome and fun activities for your kids to do after school. It’s especially important if you work and you know your kids will be unsupervised for several hours a day. You want to know where your kids are and what they’re doing – and you want them to be learning something and not just playing video games. That’s where our after-school program comes in. Kids learn about martial arts, including the core tenets of respect, discipline, and perseverance, in a fun and social setting.

Camps
They want to have fun and not worry about school, and you want them not to waste their time playing video games. You want your kids to be active, and you also want to make sure they’re in a safe and well-supervised place so you can work and do whatever else you need to do. It can feel impossible to find a program that meets your criteria and will keep your kids happy – and that’s where we come in. Our summer camp is tailor-made to be fun, educational, and social. Parents love it – and kids do, too.
