Koryo Do is an eclectic system of martial arts that combines elements of Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Judo, and Jujutsu. It is a traditional martial art that has been taught in various forms for many years. Grand Master Jose I. Delgado combined his experience and knowledge from all the different martial arts he studied to create this unique system. 

Grand Master Jose I. Delgado founded the Koryo Do system in the 1980’s, and since then it has been used by many martial artists to help them improve their martial arts skills. The system is highly respected in the martial arts community and is a popular choice among martial arts practitioners. Koryo Do emphasizes the importance of proper technique and discipline, and encourages practitioners to strive for excellence in all aspects of their training.

The key our program also relates to child development and behavior modification.  The activities we introduce as part of our martial arts program are based on the development stage (mental and physical) of our children as well as an introductory assessment made by Master Delgado (Dr. Delgado) during their initial introductory classes.  This particular assessment is critical as the same is a key piece of each student’s personal lesson program.  In other words, while everyone is exposed to the basic same information the order and the technique used to introduce these concepts vary based on the particular child.

The best school I could have sent my son to is without a doubt KOROYO-Do School of Tae Kwon Do. This is not your "typical" Tae Kwon Do school; rather, it is a large family. He now feels more self-assured, respected, and eager to always learn more in every lesson. My kid transformed from having a low sense of worth to carrying himself with pride, being self-assured, and understanding that he is unique among his family and the rest of the world. I can't express my gratitude enough to Grand Master Delgado, Master Jose, and all the Senseis for the fantastic job they do with not only their students but also with parents who participate in events with their kids in order to create lovely, enduring memories.
