​Today, the North Port Art Center is a thriving hub of creativity, offering classes in a variety of mediums. They host art exhibitions, workshops, art camps, and demonstrations from local and visiting artists. The North Port Art Center has been a pillar of the community since its inception and continues to provide creative inspiration to the citizens of North Port. The North Port Art Guild, also known as the North Port Art Center, has a long history in the community. It began in 1988, when a small group of local artists met in private homes and public meeting rooms to take classes, host small art shows, and plan for their organization's growth. In 1993, the Guild was formally incorporated and their meetings were held in the YMCA, City Hall, and the North Port Library. In 2007, the North Port City Commissioners voted to lease a building to the Guild, and the North Port Art Center was established. Today, the North Port Art Center is a vibrant center of creativity. It offers classes in a variety of mediums, hosts art exhibitions, workshops, art camps, and demonstrations from both local and visiting artists. The North Port Art Center has been a pillar of the community since its founding, and continues to serve as a source of creative inspiration for its citizens.
