GRAYDI is a neighborhood family center located in the Ridgecrest area of unincorporated Largo, Florida. This after school program provides an affordable and safe after school option that allows kids to receive academic guidance from certified teachers, as well as character building and mentoring.
GRAYDI is committed to helping as many families as possible by providing a nurturing environment for local youth. This is particularly important in the Greater Ridgecrest Community, where the need for these types of services is high. GRAYDI is the only low-cost after school program in the area that offers certified teachers to help with academic instruction and assistance.
Through partnerships and collaborations, GRAYDI is able to reach out to as many youth and families as possible. GRAYDI’s After School program aims to provide students with a safe and enriching afterschool environment through structured academic, recreational and social activities. We seek to encourage and develop in participants a respect and appreciation for their education, their peers, and authority figures. Participants in GRAYDI’s After School Program have opportunities to participate in Girl Scouts of America and the Man is the Brand Boys Program, along with activities led by GRAYDI partners such as the Largo Public Library and Clearwater Jazz Education Foundation. The program is available to students in grades K-12. Elementary Program operates from 2:45pm to 5pm (With Aftercare available until 5:30pm for an additional fee), and Teen Program operates Tuesday through Thursday from 5pm to 6:30pm everyday Pinellas County Schools are in session. GRAYDI offers pick-up for elementary participants who attend Ridgecrest and Fuguitt Elementary.

SUMMER CAMPS
GRAYDI’s Summer Camp Program provides youth participants with an enriched academic experience that prevents summer learning loss and encourages an excitement for education, while also providing opportunities for traditional summer camp time activities such as swimming, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and spirit days in a safe and structured environment. Academic rotations utilize Project Based Learning to ensure youth engagement in addition to Summer Bridge curriculum to strengthen core concepts and prepare students to build upon these concepts. Camp operates for 8-9 weeks each summer, Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm (with 30 minutes before and after care available for an additional fee). Camp fees cover the cost of all field trips and activities, a camp t-shirt, as well as lunch and snack daily.
