Andrea C11/02/20225Excellent place to visit and gain first-hand knowledge of nature and how to preserve it. It leads to the beach and has a natural trail with lots of local plants. A wonderful collection of seashells and a very special exhibit about the life and accomplishments of our heroine Marjory Stoneman Douglas can be found inside the building. The naturalist/guides are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They are excellent with kids and big groups. A Florida gem, that is!
Brian H11/02/20225We enjoy visiting this location annually to support the sea turtle project. It's fascinating to learn more about them and how we can keep the ocean healthy and safe for these amazing creatures. You can see them release some fresh hatchlings into the ocean.
Robert G11/02/20225This is cute for a small nature center, complete with bones and shells for kids to examine. has a touch tank and other lovely, well-kept aquariums. The staff is polite. The gardens surrounding the nature center were kept reasonably well, but Mexican iguanas, butterflies, and orb weaver spiders were aplenty. Importantly, there are restrooms and outdoor showers that face the beach.

You can expect to see hiking trails, art spaces displaying environmental-themed artwork, exhibit rooms with a variety of tanks, including a touch tank complete with sea cucumbers and sea urchins, and hiking trails.
