For over 47 years, one Florida dojo has been providing high quality instruction and training in Aikido: Florida Aikikai. Under the skillful leadership of Shihan Peter Bernath and Shihan Penny Bernath, men, women, young and old can all come together and train joyfully. This dojo offers the chance to both develop effective self defense skills and to calm the mind, find balance, and direct energy mindfully.

Aikido is a unique Japanese martial art that teaches children non-violent self defense. Students learn to use the force of an attack to complete dynamic throws and pins. Aikido does not rely on a person’s size or strength for effectiveness, and promotes self control and respect.
